Meerthalas

Much like the other High Elven cities, Meerthalas met its fate some four thousand years ago. In recent times, however, it has seen renewed attempts by Athalan Elves and several human refugees to resettle its marshy ruins, with some success. Those buildings that were still inhabitable on the coast are under reconstruction, but the deeper heart of the city still lies flooded and overgrown. This festering heart is rumoured to hold all manner of scaly, ferocious and mind-boggling monstrosities, who have yet to catch wind of the easy prey attempting to resettle the shoreline...
