Languages of Calcaria

Shared Language:   Trade Tongue - Common trading language shared between races, particulary differing cultures of humans and dwarves.   Otherworldly:   Amarian - The ancesteral language of the Amari. It was used for communication not only among people but also with animals and creatures of the world. The Eldar were the only other sentient race to master the language of Amarian in the first and second ages.   Danann - Language spoken by the human pantheon, the Tuatha Dé Danann and their celestial servitors such as Solars and Seraphs.   Primordial - Various versions of this are spoken by the elemental Dijnn which inhabit the inner Elemental Planes.   Infernal - Spoken by devils and the inhabitants of the Infernum.   Black Speech - Spoken by daemonic entities of the Void.   Panthea - Language used by the Nyoka of Pantheon.       Human Language:   Caltean - As Amarian was too intricate and divine for most mortals, Caltean quickly became the predominant language among humans. It was a rich and fluid language that incorporated arcane scripts used by sorcerers and employed runes for its writing system. Caltean was spoken by most early human tribes and civilisations of the world before the formation of the Empire of Arran.   Calesian - Calesian represented a simplified variation of Caltean that was easy to learn, both in written and spoken forms. It became the dominant language among desert tribes of Eridas and Skargos and is still spoken today, especially among the Brutgor.   Damarish - Spoken by the Damarans, natives to the Girded Valley.   Genkai - Language of the humans of Gynth.   Imperial Common - The standardized language of the human empire, still spoken in Albion and throughout Calcaria today.   Elven & Floren Language:   Elvhenan - After the Eldar were stripped of their immortality and their civilization fractured in the third age, their language evolved into a distinct variation known as Elvhenan. The differing elven sub-species have further variation on the language and dialect. Elvhenan was also taught to and understood by the Florens.   Dwarven:   Futhark: A runic language spoken by native Dwarf. The language has many variations between the different Caer of the dwarves.   Other Languages:   Centauri - Spoken by the Centaur tribes   Draconic - Introduced to Calcaria by the dragons and is also spoken by their Saurian offspring.   Giant - Spoken by giants......   Zardabian - The language spoken by the goblins of the old Zardab Empire......
