Planetouched

Mortal individuals who are born or bond their blood with extraplanar creatures enter eternal pacts. These mortals 'touched' by these planar magics are marked in numerous ways. While retaining many features of their original heritage, planetouched may inherit alterations in body shape, color, and ability. Eyes, once pale white, now glow a verdant green. Skin, once smooth, now emits an effervescent flame. Terrestrial creatures, once landlocked, erupt ethereal wings from their backs and take to the sky. These physical alternations can range from almost indistinct to nearly identical to their extraplanar influence. The subtlety of this influence can have deep ramifications on the individuals public perception. To rural folk who consider even dragonborn to be hideous monsters, the planetouched may be ostracized as possessed, a witch, or even a mindless animal.
The most populous of the Cabochoni planetouched are tieflings. Many elves bereft of their fertility struck blood pacts with fiends in order to conceive children. Despite their abundance, tieflings have faced just as much discrimination as other planetouched including a inquisition-like crusade against them.
