Beryl Island
Geography
Situated in the far north of the Catseye, Beryl island lays robed in conifers, shrubs, and lichens. Not just famous for its beastfolk, the island encompasses a number of crystal clear lakes layered with cyan sands. Inhabitants uses these natural pools for washing and ritualized ablution. Another unmistakable feature of the island is its large cape harboring its most populous settlement, Moro.

Beryl Island's capital, Moro, is a double entendre. As it is an island of anthropomorphic beastfolk, Moro is a homophone of Moreau (The Island of Doctor Moreau.) Moro is also the wolf-god in Princess Mononoke.
