Blinsky's Toys
Blinsky's Toys is a Toyshop in Vallaki run by the master artisan Gadof Blinsky. All of Gadof's toys are somehow wrong, though those with the wit to see it can tell they thrum with supernatural power.
Valuables
Gadof Blinsky's current stock of "toys" include:
- Blinsky's Folding Doll, which can be pulled inside out to reveal a secondary "skin." The inside skin is the same as the outside.
- Blinsky's Spinning Top with the depiction of a running person and a wolf chasing them. When spun, it sounds like a wolf's low humming growl. This spinning top was given to Ireena Kolyanovich.
- Blinsky's Dancing Bear, a small plush, surprisingly realistic despite its size, "dancing bear" on a ball that self-rights, though appears to shift where the centre of mass is. Gadof Blinsky warned Soryn d'Nemishcata not to leave fresh meat near it when he gave it to her.
- Blinsky's Build-a-Bride doll kit, which is just a big box of various wooden arms, legs, heads, and bodies.
- Blinsky's Matryoshka Doll styled like King Barov von Zarovich.
- Blinsky's Red Rider Zoetrope of a man resembling Lukas Harkon (though with head still attached) riding a horse.
Special Properties
The truth of Gadof Blinsky's current stock of "toys" is:
- A "folding doll," which can be pulled inside out to reveal a secondary "skin." If a drop of a person's blood is placed on the doll and folded, it will have changed into a poor copy of that person. If the doll is then folded inside out again, it changes into who the person truly is. The person attuned to the doll via the blood drop will become incredibly ill within the next 24 hours, and will be unable to keep down food of any kind.
- A spinning top with the depiction of a running person and a wolf chasing them. When spun, it sounds like a wolf's low humming growl. The person who spun the top immediately gains the Fleeing Condition for 1 round, and doubles their movement speed. At the end of their turn the top continues to spin on a '1' from a d4.
- A small plush "dancing bear" on a ball. If fresh meat is waved in front of the bear's nose, it transforms as a Wondrous Figurine (Rubber Bear).
- A "build a bride" doll kit, which is just a big box of various wooden arms, legs, heads, and bodies. Disturbingly, the kit contains eerily accurate pieces to build all of the Heroes, including Ireena Kolyanovich.
- A Matryoshka doll styled like King Barov von Zarovich, then Queen Ravenovia von Roeyen, then Strahd von Zarovich, the Sergei von Zarovich, and finally a small wooden heart. On the bottom there is a soft clay spot, which if you press your finger print into it, it hardens and "sets." Every time you open a layer of the doll thereafter, the doll casts Shrinkon you as a 1-action manipulate. The removed shell then crumbles to dust. If you ever open it the full way down to the heart, it is now beating and bloody, and the owner suffers a heart attack, using the spell Glacial Heart.
- A zoetrope of a man riding a horse. After a few spins, the rider's head appears to fall off, and cannot be found on the floor, though the mirrors make it look like it is still attached, with red hair unfurled and flowing. With a successful Survival Check against Lvl DC, one can also see an item they are looking for in the mirror, when pointed in the exact cardinal direction it is in.
