Blinsky's Matryoshka Doll
Blinsky's Matryoshka Doll is a toy made by Gadof Blinsky on sale at Blinsky's Toys in Vallaki. Like all of Blinsky's toys, the Matryoshka Doll has a strange energy to it that is both compelling and concerning.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The exterior of the Matryoshka Doll appears as a finely painted and carved old, stern-faced man with a long grey pointed beard, dressed as a King of old Zarossia, which is likely King Barov von Zarovich. The inside layers of the doll are as-of-yet unknown.
Significance
A Matryoshka doll styled like King Barov von Zarovich, then Queen Ravenovia von Roeyen, then Count Strahd von Zarovich, then Cal Sergei von Zarovich, and finally a small wooden heart. On the bottom there is a soft clay spot, which if you press your finger print into it, it hardens and "sets." Every time you open a layer of the doll thereafter, the doll casts Shrink on you as a 1-action manipulate. The removed shell then crumbles to dust. If you ever open it the full way down to the heart, it is now beating and bloody, and the owner suffers a heart attack, using the spell Glacial Heart.
