Harm-Master Vir-Likt is a harsh person. He is a driven elf and hates any who would act against the Realm. Now, he understands that sometimes citizens make mistakes because of their ignorance or their own vices, and he can be empathetic in situations, particularly because he knows that people are more likely to change if they believe they are being helpful or ‘getting off light.’ But, he knows that there are people in the Realm who truly deserve his hatred.

One such person is Mirra’deyl osala-H’onos. They first learn of each other in 56037 when Vir-Likt was tasked with investigating possible embezzlement in the settlement of Burkarke on the northern edge of Nur-ymir. Since that investigation they have enjoyed a professional relationship where each tries to kill or at least ruin the plans of the other.

Vir-Likt has killed citizens, though he tries not to, and in his early years these deaths bothered him. However, now he understands that one death or one moment of his successful intervention can save thousands or at least improve their lives.

Mental characteristics

Education

He is well educated. Depending on when he is encountered in his 19 centuries of life, he will have mastered any number of professions and skills. By the time he reaches his 19th century, he will have achieved the following:
Developed an in-depth knowledge of criminality, and investigation.
Developed a professional mastery of chemistry, civic engineering and arcana.
Become proficient in all spoken languages in the Realm.
Become a master of melee combat, small ranged arms, armour use, and survival.
As a Harm Master of the Paragons, he is a well trained enforcer of the law.

Employment

He has been employed in various regions of the Realm. Depending on the time period, he may be stationed at any Paragon deployment facility.

Morality & Philosophy

He is a devout Paragon. Every Paragon of his rank has done things which have challenged they moral compass, and in every case they have chosen to glorify Her Will and Statues. If it is not lawful, it must be stopped. If it does not stop, those who perpetuate must be stopped. And, if they can not be stopped, then what must be done ... must be done.

Interestingly enough, Liktazi has a deep aversion to killing. This aversion is trained into all Paragons. The reasons for this are numerous. One of the main reasons being that Faid is a better option. Less wasteful in the long run. However, death does eventually come for all, so it’s not a terrible loss when a few inconsequential citizens die for the greater good.
