Scholar Vera

(Itera D-10)

This article is a work in progress!

Scholar Vera (Itera D-10) was a member of the D family and the 10th Itera. She was the founder of the Imaginarium, the department of Scholars associated with studying the supercomputer Simone's imagination. The founding of the Imaginarium represented an innovative turn in the study of Simone and how to communicate with it. The Imaginarium has had great cultural impact due to the insights it's provided into how Simone thinks and creates things, which the Scholars have incorporated into their own processes for inventing new tech. Moreover, its creation is considered to be a significant step towards understanding Simone's inmost thoughts, bringing Variants that much closer to learning why it created them the way it did. Thus Vera is hailed today as a visionary and a champion of the Variants' higher purpose.   Vera was also the inventor of the BEAD, the Button for Entering Artificial Dreams. This is a communication device that enables its users to meet each other via a shared dream. The technology was considered revolutionary as it brought the Variants one step closer to their virtual roots. BEADs are still used by Variants to this day for communication, entertainment and socializing.
