English

Written by FirethornDragon

Narrez is a creature that looks like a red deer. It is a fast animal that lives by the mountains and forest around the elven countries in Aurin. It is a majestic animal with brown and reddish fur with grey or white fur around its neck. A Narrez has black eyes or dark brown eyes. You recognize a Narrez by its big horns and its small tail. A Narrez can be up to 2 meters in body height. Their height at withers is about 120-150 meters. Despite being a big animal the Narrez moves quietly around the forests. You rarely spot one of them on their own. Narrez eats everything from leaves, berries, bark, carrots, corn and grass. They don't eat meat. Their favourite thing to eat is berries.       The animal is more intelligent than people think. It senses its surroundings. Because of that they are hard to track and will only show themselves before the one they choose to create a bond with. It has never happened that someone outside of the Crehe Culture has made a bond with a Narrez. The bond is also rare in the Crehe Culture. Therefore the bond is very sacred to the people of the Crehe Culture. For them, a Narrez is like a family member.

The Bond

The bond between a crehe and a Narrez is rare and sacred. And the bond can happen at any age for the crehe and the Narrez. But you can't go out looking for a Narrez and hope that it will choose you. The Narrez senses and feels when it is in their persons present. For them, the bond feels like The law of magic. A Narrez knows who their crehe is because it can see into a crehes soul. And they can never choose someone who is not good-hearted and selfless.     You will know that a Narrez has chosen you if it walks up to you and bows. But you have to complete the bond. Completing the bond is about creating trust between the crehe and the Narrez. And there are three ways you can be deemed unworthy by a Narrez before completing the bond. One is walking up to it with weapons. Two is trying to mount the Narrez before it bows. The third one is not bowing back. If you don't bow back to the Narrez then you are showing that you do not respect it.     If you bow back, then you can walk up to the Narrez slowly. When you do you have to meet the Narrez gaze before trying to mount it. Meeting the Narrez gaze shows that the Narrez are trusting you. Once you have mounted the Narrez, you complete the bond by riding through the forest. But the first ride through the forest will not be easy. The Narrez will try to throw you off its back. If you are still on once the Narrez has stopped, then the bond is complete.     Once a bond is complete that Narrez can never bond with another crehe. The same goes for the crehe. The Narrez and the crehe will stick together until one of them dies. But even after death, the bond will still be there. When a bonded Narrez dies or its crehe dies that Narrez's herd will show up and circle the dead Narrez or crehe. Once they have formed a circle all of them will bow. It is their way of showing respect for their own but also the crehe who was bonded to one of their own. When all of them have bowed they will leave.
