Imperial Crown
The Imperial Crown is an artifact utilized primarily by the monarchs of the 1st Empire of Jerace. It was used to symbolise their authority over the Jeraci people. Even with multiple successive dynasties to the throne of Jerace, the Imperial Crown remained the only constant between rulers.
To the rest of the Galaxy of Astraesto, the crown was a symbol of Jeraci aggression and was feared by many. Many groups would use the crown to symbolise Jerace, such as the Republics within Iomhare, who faced with the threat, decided to unite into the Federation of Iomhare.
Following the end of the 1st Empire of Jerace, the Imperial Crown would eventually find itself in the hands of the first Emperor of the 2nd Empire of Jerace. Despite the authority the Crown brought, he would never formally don the artifact, choosing instead to form Jerace into a semi-constitutional monarchy, an Imperial Republic. Several rulers after him would continue the tradition, with the few who did wear the crown facing severe criticism and hatred from the people and government.
The crown remains in the possession of Jerace, inside the Imperial Palace on Moneyye, where Empress Freya Victer holds it. It remains nothing more than a museum piece, and no-one has worn the crown in over a mellenium.
