The Sand Strip

This location is the common name referring to the desert south of the Savage Coast. It is a desert "strip" that spans in east-west axis, and mainly composed of sand. Some small areas are more dirt and rock, but the vast majority remains sand.

Localized Phenomena

Unexpectedly, this area seems free of the Red Dust that plagues the rest of the Savage Coast. Some sages speculate it is because of the high-winds and dryness of the land combined with the mass of the Red Ore, which is absorbed beneath the layers of sand.

Fauna & Flora

It is sparsely populated, since most humamoïds are not adapted to those harsh conditions. The natural fauna strives without those predators. It is mostly composed of insects and arachnids, both the regular and giant sizes. There is a limited number of mammal and avian species, mostly the smaller kind who can feed on the abundance of small insects.
