Red Dust

Red Dust is omnipresent in the Savage Coast and are fine dark reddish particules that permeates the air. It is normally not discernable as its concentration is generally extremely low. Evidence of this dust can be seen on objects tht have been laying untouched for many days or even weeks. An extremely fine dust just about covers those items. It is very volatile; due to its extremely low density, any slight breeze will return the matter into suspension in the air.

It is sometimes ironically called "Wine Dust" refering to its closely matching color and perceived dangerousness.

Red Dust is essentially fine particles of Red Ore in suspernsion in the air. It is unknown how or why the dust is perpetually present on the coast but nowhere else. It is known that mining and fragmenting Red Ore will create a particulary harmful variety of the Red Dust for a breif period of time but in no way can explain the ambiant phenomenon.

The dust has no known practical or ritualistic use and generally perceived as an annoyance. It is not traded and has no perceived value even if it is considered rare due to the difficulty of harvesting it.
