Tree of Bascran
A massive dead tree in the Fiirwood, lying about halfway between Queenspoint and the Boarswood, named for an ancient Siiari queen.
The Tree is so much larger than those around it, it is commonly assumed to be the last survivor of an extinct species. Naturally, there are many legends that call the Tree itself the queen of all trees, claiming that it comes alive at night and dances with the Aernigh. These legends are a stark contrast with myths of the Dame of Bascran, a monstrous spider said to live inside the tree.
