Esharion
The capitol city of Viis Zoroth, Esharion was once the center of the Darida Empire, itself built on the bones of Chuereb, an ancient society about which practically nothing is known. The Old Orckid Empire was celebrated for integrating other societies into its influence, but the Darida Empire was the exception to this. Though its people were by and large absorbed, the rulers were wiped out and all national identity essentially destroyed. For this reason, Esharion is sometimes said to be a city with two ghosts: that of the Chuerebese and that of the Daridans.
Oft called the Immortal City, Esharion contains the government of Viis Zoroth, the nation's only port, and its military center. It is also considered the cultural center of the nation. The Palace of amaSansuriir contains relics of Darida and Chuereb, along with those of other ancient peoples such as the Sheshai and the Ajmanites, while the Palace of amaCethraed features dramatic performances inspired by their understanding of Monosi culture.
Indeed, it is said that anything of import in Esharion takes place in a palace. The Palace of Peace governs domestic matters, the Palace of War governs international affairs, and the Northern Palace houses the Queen and her counselors. In other palaces, wealthy Amai provide for the less fortunate in the city, sometimes spreading their wealth throughout Viis Zoroth.
