Divine Commander
The highest rank a Zaljan paladin can attain. Divine Commanders typically serve in the Khan's Imperial Army, but only on campaigns approved by the Holy Abhin. Divine Commanders may take authority over any and all paladins serving in said army. Paladins that refuse to obey orders from a Divine Commander must leave the army and campaign in question. Refusal to do either is grounds for execution.
Appointment
Divine Commanders must be recommended for appointment by the Khan, then approved and invested by the Holy Abhin. In the specific case of Divine Commanders (being Zaljan rather than Khabarese), the Abhin may grant this authority of investiture to any Zaljan priest, if for any reason the impeding Commander is unable to come to the Holy Solulan.
