Munazra Geographic Location in Aquila Palaxis | World Anvil

Munazra

A backwater world sitting on the fringe of civilized space. Where the glitz and glamor of the core worlds draws eyes there, the pure freedom and lawlessness is what draws people to this dusty, nearly desolate world.
Something in the air tends to encourage keratinous growths- resembling horns, but lacking the telltale core bone- on the forehead and cheeks. Creatures with horns and carapace are seemingly unaffected by these changes.

History

No records remain of when it was established, leading many to believe that the first colony cropped up some time before the Blackout.
In 432 ABO, Munazra was deemed irredeemable, rendered destroyed when the vast majority of its settlements were raised or overtaken by the chronically problematic bandits. Only Seclusion Heights remained.

Recent Times

Long-range scanners have detected an unidentified vessel in Munazran orbit, presumed a derelict at first, until a shuttle was detected ferrying unknown cargo from the mothership to the planet, and vice versa. Following this discovery, rumors started circulating relating to someone making a stir on the surface, among the people of Seclusion Heights.
With the destruction of the most prominent bandit clans at the hands of Hof Najara's synthetic companion, the expansion and improvements to the quality of life for the people have grown exponentially, thanks to the construction of a brand new reactor- making most personal generators redundant backups- and a material reprocessor that gives the people of Seclusion Heights access to refined materials.

Notable Locations
Seclusion Heights: The 'last bastion of civilization', as it were.
Esui's Starfall Crater: Formerly a major camp of the Binary Hunter bandit clan, it now sits as a smoldering, dusty crater.
Bastianus Post: Primary home to the Binary Hunter clan, they've made their home between one of the most sprawling junkheaps, and the shore of a lake- though it's more of a landlocked 'sea' than a mere lake- where they produce their machines of war.
Cliffdreg Camp: The main camp of the Rockchewer bandit clan.
