Mantled
Known otherwise as "Mantled Beasts", or "Va'ji", these creatures superficially resembled Ranegen, save that their 'visors' do not cover their entire faces.
While there is a great deal of talk about a Federation among those Mantled that have entered the core worlds, there is hardly any tangible evidence that an actual Federation (aside from the United Galactic Federation) actually exists. Some theorize that Mantled, and their overarching faction, do not exist in the prime reality. The Looking Glass agrees with this notion, and, according to disseminated information, believes that the Mantled Federation exists in a pocket dimension near Palaxis Prime, and that "somehow", they have a stable iris with which to enter Palaxian space.
