Flesh-Touched

Flesh-Touched are a subcategorization of Far-Touched. Upon Lucidity, the disease known as Far Sickness leaves the victim with weeping sores, sloughing skin and a monstrous hunger for mortal brains. Naturally, this leaves the populace in fear of those who have contracted the ailment, who have been dubbed the Flesh-Touched. Once thought to be simple an infection developed by newcomers to Lucidity due to a new and hostile environment, research into Far Sickness have found that it is actually a sentient disease, seeking to add warriors to its army to spread itself to all mortalkind under the orders of the Travesty Beheerous and had been contracted by those living near a Far Realm Incursion. However, its influence is limited on Apa Axas, leaving its potential army untouched by its mental influence, but still suffering from its horrific physical effects. Although not contagious, the ravenous hunger of the Flesh-Touched often leads them to becoming expelled by their community, casting them into exile, where the Flesh-Touched mind often crumbles, reinforcing the negative stereotypes associated with them. However, it has been said that somewhere on Lucidity, there is a commune made up entirely of Flesh-Touched, known as @yakwho have learnt to control their hunger and seek only to live in peace, away from the cruel taunts and prying eyes of other races.
