Bastion
Bastion is a city on the southern tip of Wildren's eastern peninsula. It is a city with large walls that serves as the only point of civility on the peninsula. The city is a plutocracy, run by a council of its richest inhabitants. Each of them pay for their seat at the table, the money goes towards city projects and defense.
Demographics
Roughly 2/3 of the population of Bastion is enslaved. Of those who are free roughly half of them are of elven blood. The rest are human branch nobibity, mercenaries, overseers, and industrialists.
Government
The government of Bastion a plutocratic council made up of the richest patrons of the city. The current going rate for a seat is 80 thousand gold per year. This cost is worth it because it means that those houses do not pay other taxes to Bastion. With the steep land tax this means that most of the land in the city is owned by the families of the council.
Luna Green. Technically the seat is held by House Green but Luna Green is currently residing in Green Manor in Bastion and has responsibility for the family's holdings in that area.

Districts
The city has several walls on the inside that are inspired by Brickerton, meant to keep order. They also allow for a section of the city to be easily locked down in case of slave revolts as happened in the past. Roughly half of the city's land is used by the agricultural districts. Typically on the northern side of the city and close to the outer walls, the agricultural districts grow roughly 2/3 of the food consumed by the city. Basically all space is used for food crops as cash crops can generally be grown better other places and livestock requires too much land. There are also several industrial districts, you cannot sell things in industrial districts and thus they are used exclusively by large companies with storefronts elseswhere. Most of the factories in Bastion are textiles or metalurgy, basically all woodwork is done in Zirdy instead.
Guilds and Factions
The Bloodhawk Mercenary Company. The largest mercenary company in Bastion that is not directly owned by one of the councilors. They gain most of their income from taking people out on safaris or hunts in the Khanrathi plains and the spoils(slaves) they bring back from such excursions.
Points of interest
Dino Dashing Kitchen & Grill. A rainforest cafe-type restaurant with an animate T-rex skeleton on the roof. There is bar and cafe seating as well as private rooms. The place is a favorite for mercenaries and adventurers to gather. They have an Alehouse Drake which lazily flies overhead.
City Hall. A large dome shaped building towards the southern edge of the city center. It holds the great vault of bastion and is the meaning place for its council.
