Summer King / Summer Queen
Summer King and Summer Queen are titles granted to the reigning monarchs of Caraegwyn, a feudal nation that is also known as the Summer Kingdom. The titles are mainly used in exceptionally formal address, being commonly shortened to their simpler versions of King and Queen.
The monarchy of Caraegwyn has always been headed by the royal House Pendragon due to the magical bond their bloodline has to the land itself. Their dynasty has continued unbroken for the past 800 years.
The heir of the Summer Crown is traditionally -- but not always -- the eldest child of the current King or Queen without a bias towards either gender. This is reflected by the gender neutrality of all Caraegweni nobility and their society in general.
