Siriana Griffin Character in Amanor | World Anvil

Siriana Griffin

High Templar Siriana Griffin is one of the most famous and influential nobles in Caraegwyn. She is a member of the Round Table and the leader of both the Templar Knights and the Church of Iona in the Summer Kingdom. Moreover, she has been granted the greatest honor possible for scions of House Griffin by being named Blood of the Gryphon and allowed custody of the Gryphonheart Blade. Many consider her the symbolic heir of the legendary caraegweni heroine Riannon Griffin, the previous Blood of the Gryphon and Avatar of Iona.   Siriana is the youngest sibling of the late Arl Lograine Griffin, who she surpassed both in fame and influence in a matter of a few short years despite the arl's several decades of knightly deeds. They say that Lograine was ever displeased with his sister claiming the Gryphonheart Blade instead of him. Lograine was succeeded as Lord of the Greenock by Lady Avarona Griffin following his death in the Battle of Saltpsire in 2501 ER.   Contents

Personality and traits

Siriana is a friendly and honest person, if a bit reserved. She is the youngest High Templar in the history of Caraegwyn, and her meteoric rise to power happened over the course of days. Aware of her junior level of experience for such an influential position, Siriana is curious of the workings of state and welcomes council from other templars, nobles, and members of the court. And yet she has also made more than one ill-advised -- yet undisputably benevolent -- reforms to the church, using its resources for charity efforts, assigning the Templar guard to assist the city guard of Caernarfon and increasing the number of services held at the Cathedral of Light.

Powers and abilities

Siriana is a cleric of Iona devoted to the domain of light. She began her service at the age of 14, but her rise through the ranks was always slow. This is not to be attributed to a lack of spirit, for she demonstrates great gifts of divine magic and is regularly able to commune with the goddess. Her standing changed abruptly when she accidentally handled the Gryphonheart Blade during a ceremony, causing the blade to awaken at her touch.   As an heir of the Gryphonblood, Siriana is blessed with exceptional powers of mind, body, and soul.   As High Templar, Siriana leads the Templar Knights, and she also named herself a battle-sister, allowing her to use any of the hallowed templar battlegear stored within the Templar Bastion in Caernarfon. Her personal battlesuit is the Fist of Iona, and she prefers to use the legendary warhammer Nightbreaker for a melee weapon. Siriana outfits her battlesuit with both defensive and offensive artifacts, and whenever she strides into battle she does so bearing the ancient battle standard of the templar knights.

Appearance

Siriana is of an athletic build -- strong, lean, and straight as an arrow -- not tall but not exactly short either. Her brown hair is kept shoulder-length. Siriana is rarely seen in other than official attire -- the red, black, and gold of the Templar Knights.
