The Solaria

The Solaria, or more succinctly Solaria, is a medium sized yellow star around which the Alorean Solar System revolves. It's name is synonymous with power to the Alorean people, and is used in variation to describe powerful entities or artifacts found throughout Alore. A few of the named persons or items include Solare, god of the sun, Solarians, and the Solaria Regalia, created by the late Orthoni Gut-beard, to name a few.

Geography

The star is comprised of extremely hot plasma, formed as multiple layers consisting of - from innermost to outermost: the core, the radiative zone, the convective zone, the visible surface - called the photosphere - the chromosphere, and the outermost corona. The surface of the star is speckled with numerous dark variations, called "sun spots," and constantly spews intense waves of electromagnetic radiation, alongside enormous plumes of plasma called "solar flares." It is speculated that the Solaria has existed for approximately 4.5 to 4.6 billion years, during which the solar system around it was formed, including the pre-dark era Alore. Although its scientific details have been thoroughly documented, mystic scholars are still somewhat unsure if the star has any magical properties or if it has any effect on planar boundaries due to its immense gravity.
