Casting

the Use of Magic

The term 'casting' has two primary meanings in regard to use relating to Magic. It is the act of using magic, i.e. 'to cast', and most often used is describing an action, as in using magic, such as "a Wizard is casting a Imnuru." Its second use is describing the effect and aftermath of magic used and created by someone, for example "this fire is a casting of a wizard."

Note: some remote cultures use the term 'spell', however, for most cultures in Ethae 'casting' is also used to describe the specific use of magic as well. An example of this is a wizard might say "what casting are you using," rather than "what spell are you using."
