Ositha Kingfinch
Queen Ositha Kingfinch (a.k.a. Oss)
Ositha, known as Oss to her family, is the current reigning Queen of Ghealas. She is the eldest daughter of Sarhild and Sunna, and bore witness to the drowning of her mother and half-sister, Sabrina Henbelle.
Unlike her younger sister Harlow, whose personality completely changed after Sabrina's death, Ositha's no-nonsense, pragmatic personality has stayed consistent. Her brother Arvis Blackjaw describes Ositha fondly, as a strong-willed heiress who kept the family together during and after the The Ghealan Wars. Much of what went wrong during her rule was through the fault of her siblings Harlow and Arvis.
In the laws of the Larix Lyalli, Queens in the Gannwyll Gwydd must be fecund when they come of age, and thus able to produce offspring. While Ositha did have many children, some documents uncovered after the Hol Gheal Disaster showed signs of forgery and indications she was initially registered as XXI (Infecund) at her coming of age. As of 812, the legitimacy of her children's inheritance to the Queenndom has been called into question.
