The StarSingers were a group of elves in Herbreous who, seeing the arrogance of the elven people, had set themselves apart from the six clans. They became traders and explorers, building ships and sailing the oceans of Aeleon seeking new lands and trading in goods with others. It was a group of such explorers who discovered the continent of Ma'urwol. Seeing in this place a potential new homeland for the StarSinger people, they kept it hidden from all others, especially other elves. For years, more and more of their people were brought from the old world to the new. Soon, they established for themselves a kingdom on Ma'urwol and called it Silverstar. Over time, they came to be as arrogant as the old clans. Seeing this, some of their people split off and formed a new group, the WoodSingers. Eventually, other races came to Ma'urwol and conflict arose. Tired of abuse and near slavery conditions, the WoodSingers would side with these newcomers. Over the course of several wars, Silverstar and its StarSinger people would be all but wiped out. As a people, the StarSingers no longer exist. Those few who survived the wars were eventually absorbed into other societies.
Art & Architecture
The StarSingers love their great cities. As masters of navigation, they constantly look to the stars and their buildings reflect that. Great towers are common, the higher the better. The StarSingers hold themselves to be the epitome of the perfect elven form. They do not approve of anything that will mar that image, including things such as tattoos, piercings and so forth. Should a StarSinger be deformed or scarred from battle or illness, the community will wield all the magic it can muster to heal such imperfections.
