The Zóken Mountains1 are located between Faron to the south, Darden to the west and Gysikan to the north. They form the northernmost boundaries of the Kingdom of Faron via the two vassal kingdoms of Fazeron in the western mountains and Dalindren in the east. Most of the population are thus a mixture of dwarves, half-dwarves and faronic natives, the former inhabiting cities in the upper mountains and the latter at lower altitudes.

Geography
The highest point is Prúknis, known as Parvúknis in ancient faronic, near which a small sanctuary dedicated to Bas and Irtúl is located. The two most prominent rivers of Faron, Gyþen and Únnen, originate in the Zóken Mountains.
Fauna & Flora
Zóken Mountains are home to mountain goats, foxes, ravens and especially hawks. A subspecies of the gysikanic rock lions used to roam the area, but were driven to extinction by the faronics millennia ago. Domesticated goats and to lesser extend sheep are raised there.
Trees cover the lower slopes of the mountains, though the woods are not as thick as those in Gysikan, above them are mostly lichens and hardy plants, while below are extensive vineyards and olive groves.

Copper, gold, lapis lazuli, black and pink marble are mined in the mountains.
