Adral

Adral is the northermost núrakic language in Adynía, spoken by the aristocracy and mages in the kingdom of Keþía in eastern Gráhúlysía. It was introduced there in the early fourth century a.Paþ by the explorer Keþírus, who would later become the first king of Keþía after unifying the natives of the Lakú Mountains.
The language was intended to become a common tongue among the different tribes, along with other aspects of núrakic elven1 culture, which Keþírus encouraged nobles to adopt (or at least adapt to native traditions) in hopes of creating what he considered to be a civilized society.
The use of adral as a second language only lasted a couple of generations after Keþírus' death, after which it was gradually replaced by Keþic, and nowadays is mostly limited to studies of the arcane on one hand, and certain phrases and prayers used by the aristocracy on the other.

Writing System

Adral is written using an alphabet of the same name, based on a variation of the núrakic alphabet, but has since been modified to the point that it would be unrecognizable to a modern núrakic elf. Notably, all letter have only one form instead of each having three forms depending on whether it's the first, last or in the middle of a word, as in Navalede.
