True Life Purists

The True Life Purists are a sect of primarily Halflings, located in the Northern Knolls. Many of the Northern Halflings who live in Tifwado City consider themselves Purists. They have a church in the city with quite a lot of followers, even some who are not Halfling folk. Humans, who have similar lifespans to Halflings, have taken a particular interest in the religion.   True Life Purists believe in Life above all else. Originally a small cult ran by a Healing Cleric, Greadrix, the TLP live their lives by three principles:
  1. Never kill a living Folk.
  2. Heal all, regardless of affiliation.
  3. The Eternals left behind the key to immortality.
Greadrix is said to be the first Halfling to find the key to both divinity and immortality. He ascended to godhood as a reward for the souls that he saved from death. It is believed the Eternals, themselves, gave him the key. Although Greadrix rarely intervenes on the Mortal Rondure anymore, he created the Gate to the True Purity Rondure, a place where Halflings and other Folk who follow TLP go after death. It is said that through this Gate, Greadrix guides the Folk and encourages them to commune with followers who still reside on the Mortal Rondure. The ancestor spirits guide them in ways to live longer, healthier, and kinder lives.   As a result, all those who are TLPs are given the gift of "healing hands".   Currently, True Life Purists are discovering ways to unlock longer mortality, so that they can have long lived lives like the elves, gnomes, and dwarves folk. This results in many followers who are not clerics to study Zalmawi, choosing to be wizards and artificers so that they can attempt to recreate magical surges. Ironically, these experiments result in the deaths of some of their followers. Although followers say they all volunteer freely for the good of all folk kind. After unlocking the key to long life, they plan to continue to their work towards immortality.   Having a True Life Purist on your adventuring team can help with both your morals and your health. Many have expanded their powers to increase resurrection spells. Although their refusal to kill even the worst of folk kind can be quite aggravating.

I really like their principals! I have not yet written the religion prompt, but I love the way you wrote yours. It is simple, yet explains what this religion is about really well. So I might need to revisit when I'm writing that prompt myself for some inspiration.

What an interesting immortality cult! I really like that immortality is linked with saving lives and healing <3

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it. You can't get to immortality if you die of a stab wound before the secret is unlocked.
