The Knights of the Area are a knightly order primarily active in southern Ryva. They are headquartered in the town of Mandra. The imperial arena there serves as their headquarter, being the largest stone building in the town, and quite defensible. The Knights rule a large area of land in the foothills of mountain of Valammar. Their domain constitutes the westernmost of the "Free Cities" on the Island of Ryva.
Demography and Population
The lands ruled by the Knights of the Arena are rich farmlands with many towns and villages, but no true city. Even the capital is little more than an overgrown town. 95% of the population are engaged in some form of agriculture. The great majority are humans , with a minority mostly composed of halfings.
Foreign Relations
The Knights maintain good relations with the Myzian Empire having recognized their conquest of Cataali as justified. Many suspect that the knights will ultimately swear fealty to the Queen-Empress in exchange for internal autonomy. Currently the Knights are a member state of the Union of Free Cities and at war with the The Alliance. The Evonian Republic does not recognize the Knights are an independent realm, instead classifying them as a "warlord domain under the control of the Myzian tyrant".

A clerical council known as the "Conclave of Interpretation" are tasked with translating the "Wisdoms" of Sol into practical laws.
Judicial Body
The Knights of the Arena assigns a Knight-judge to all major settlements. This knight is responsible for hearing judicial disputes and criminal cases in their area. Above these are the Arena Council made up of the Knight-Commanders, who judge in especially contentious or important cases.
Executive Body
The Arena Council is ultimately responsible for the enforcement of the laws. However the local Knight-Judges do most of the day to day work.
