Xun Ying Ti
A cultivator of the White Sea Sect and close friend to Zhang Shu Qing. Ying Ti's family owned a wealthy farm in northern Zhenhai and she was the first in her family to learn cultivation.
When Xue Ying joined the war, she renewed their friendship and helped him integrate his unique skills. The two of them realized their feelings for each other when Ying Ti was assigned to the Gilded Retribution - the assassination of Emperor Zou - and Xue Ying was not. He spoke with Yin Da and got himself assigned. This sparked an argument between himself and Ying Ti and led to him finally discussing his feelings for her. Though worried, Ying Ti recognized she could not persuade him to stay behind. They both served critical supporting roles during the assassination. Xue Ying died alongside Luan Cho Ming, fighting to give the rest of the group time to get out of Longjiang safely. His final words to her and his best friend Zhang Huai Shi were that the sacrifice was his choice, and a request that they look after Rou Ying.
Once things were more settled, however, Ying Ti declined the invitation from the Zhangs to stay and set off on her own to wander Zhenhai, something she had been considering for years. Her family wanted to arrange a new match for her, but she left before anything could be decided. She had a number of adventures, and would later encounter the demon Zhengzhong and enlist the help of her cultivator friends to confront him.
Becoming a Cultivator
Shao Zhaohui, a wandering cultivator from the Long Sky Sect, taught Ying Ti the basics of cultivation when she was a young teen after Ying Ti persisted in asking. Ying Ti then used the connection of her sister Xun Mei Zhi's marriage into the Fan family to join the White Sea Sect. Despite the considerable abuse dealt to her by those who felt she didn't belong there, including being left for dead one night, she stayed on."I had to make a choice as to if doing cultivation was worth the hard work and humiliation, up to my life. And I chose yes. I would just have to work harder to make sure that wouldn't happen." - Ying Ti to Zhang Ke YuanThough she was largely isolated, Ying Ti eventually made a few friends, including Shu Qing, her brother Zhang Ke Yuan, and Xian Ming. She often kept Shu Qing out of the worst of trouble, and remained loyal to the Zhangs through the War of Eternal Day and beyond despite her connection to Fan Jin Fei bringing tension during the Standoff at Jiliang. The two families arranged an engagement between Ying Ti and Zhang Ke Yuan in 1246, which ended with news of the war.
Buildup to the War
When Ying Ti received news of the impending war from the Zhangs, she agreed to end the engagement between herself and Zhang Ke Yuan and traveled home to ensure the safety of her family. She then received word from Bai Rou Ying that Bai Xue Ying had been taken captive in the demonic realm, the Thousand Vortices. She did not fully trust Xue Ying, having learned about his heritage during the Standoff at Jiliang, but she nonetheless went with Rou Ying to rescue him. Her initial efforts failed, and she discovered that it was his family holding him captive. She stayed long enough to ensure his safety and recovery before joining the war effort, now friends with both him and his littlest sister. The War of Eternal Day
Ying Ti served as a cultivator under Zhang Yin Da during the war and was initially assigned alongside Shu Qing. She gained fame for saving the 23rd Division from ambush with Shu Qing, but worried for her friend when their assignments took them different directions.

Life After the War
After the war, Ying Ti helped her family move to the renewed capital of Yinguonan. At Ke Yuan's suggestion, the Xun and Zhang families renewed the engagement between them - the real purpose agreed upon between the two friends being to give them both a buffer of time before they had to seriously consider marriage, as both of them had recently suffered disappointments in that area. Ying Ti went with Ke Yuan and Huai Shi to the abandoned Cold Wolf Sect and assisted in clearing it of ghosts and demons in preparation for its reestablishment. She also assisted with the care of Rou Ying, who visited all of her brother's old friends and wanted to stay with the Gaos before Ying Ti persuaded her to come to the sect. When Ke Yuan was offered an engagement to Gao Xiao Bi, she helped him handle the turmoil involved.Once things were more settled, however, Ying Ti declined the invitation from the Zhangs to stay and set off on her own to wander Zhenhai, something she had been considering for years. Her family wanted to arrange a new match for her, but she left before anything could be decided. She had a number of adventures, and would later encounter the demon Zhengzhong and enlist the help of her cultivator friends to confront him.
