Crimson Chaos

by Sam Talbot

I'm... I think I'm gonna be sick. I had to heal wounds before, but draining someone of all their blood... I have to say, not an experience I want to repeat. Borris had a creature inside him, moving underneath his skin. I'm not sure what it is, but we managed to capture it after I had to cut it out of Borris. As if this wasn't enough, we realized that there was some black ichor mixed in his blood that seemed to be somehow connected to this creature. Instead of waiting to see what would happen if the ichor remained in his body, Borris chose to drain himself of the blood in his body, as his body was only a sack of blood. Yuck.

While preparing, K gave Borris some mushrooms that he, for lack of a better term, tripped out. He experienced a vision of some sort involving the evil Eras that is attacking our world, but how he was brought to life was a complete mystery... Other than the fact that the mercury water was responsible. We also checked our resident goblin's blood, and he had the black ichor as well. If there is any way that Eras is involved in this, we need to get word to Magecrest immediately. My instincts were right; the goblins cannot be trusted and need to be stopped before something horrible happens.

After Borris removed all of his blood (a horrifying process I had to watch in order to stand by for any needed healing), he was restored to having a waxy interior by another of K's plants called Dragonspine. It did the trick, and now Borris is back to normal.(?)

I also had another dream of Amber seeing a ship arriving on the horizon, as well as communication with the Moradin fighters I sent to help her. They need funds and guidance on what captain they need to charter. I have no clue about any of the people they asked about, but I sent a message to my folks to ask if they recognized any of them. Fingers crossed.
I'm not sure what our plan is, but whatever we come up with, we have one week before the Ice Lord makes his move.

We really need a plan, and perhaps Eras is the key.
