Wrecking Ball

by Sam Talbot

I'm not sure what to say, so I'm going to be brief this time. While most of us went shopping, I decided to try to learn a bit about our hosts. Time will tell if I learned anything useful though, it was a tangle of leads and dead ends into investigations. We thought about sparring to pass the time, but thought better of it and tagged along with the rest of the party to go shop and search for supplies. Borris and K were stunned by some Gloomflowers, whcih I'd like to point are highly hostile. Borris dispatched them with prejudice. While we were shopping and selling at a potion seller in the slums, we met a half-orc named Urthan who was looking for a bounty that was worth 30 gold.
After some time shopping, we actually managed to spot Urthan's target and followed him into an alley. Instead of trapping him, we were ambushed; the whole enclosure was filled with the sounds of battle and spells. Despite their numbers, the bandits didn't stand a chance against our newly strengthened group... Although, I'm worried I went a bit overkill with my Spirit Guardians. Next time I use that spell, I'll need to tone it down. That one really took it out of me. I'd be more shocked at how they fell into pieces around me, but then again, we were in a battle a few days ago. I think I'm getting a little too used to killing I think. If I force myself not to feel, it's like I can't hear their voices anymore. Or see their faces.

Oh, gods... What is happening to me?
