The Cave
There isn't much to write this time, but I want to keep track of things and make a special note of what just happened.
No matter what, I will always be glad to have these people on my side. The behemoth we fought... It was too much. Felt like too much at least. I wasn't sure if we were even going to fight it at first once we disturbed its home. Aerilyn certainly had the same thought of me and got distance as fast as possible, but the thing was just too fast! It was so big I think it dwarfed any of the trees in the plum orchards back home. It was all anyone could do to hold the line. Cordelia and K tried to coax the beast onto the lake while Urthan distracted it to buy them time. Suddenly out of nowhere, Borris hit the creature with his ax, summoning a meteor through the artillery stone embedded within. The creature broke through the ice and quickly got stunned by K, who was tied by a rope to Borris for some reason. The rest was history. There was nothing to loot, but we managed to rest up a bit before moving on.
Now that we've dealt with that gargantuan behemoth, I've got a lot more confidence. Maybe we have a really good chance to defeat this ice lord after all!
I hope my folks and Amber are OK. I need to write them soon once I get a chance.
