DO YOU KNOW WITH HOW LITTLE UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD IS GOVERNED?
2300J hours
Salutations,
Today saw the departure of armiger Kazagal Headsmasher as one of the transient not-quite-crewmembers of the Swift Mermaid. The conditions surrounding this made him an enemy of the Order of the Nail, which is inadvisable but morally sound. Hopefully they have better things to do than track down a disgraced recruit. Of course, if Hellknights had one shred of dignity in them, they could have my latent support in this endeavour; however, they do not and never will. I also owe him after he saved my life, so I shall stand ready if he ever returns, without allowing my reservations against him to take precedence. He proved dependable in that rotten temple at the bottom of the ocean, and separating the personal from the professional is a necessity on this vessel. Nakor has explained some of his ideas about a proposed revolution in the Mandate of Kang. It is clear that he seems to think that willpower and arrogance are the two ingredients needed to serve the Heavenly Avatar a leave of permanent absence. This is incorrect. Given full control of this plot, Nakor is bound to end up in the vast graveyard of former anti-Kang pretenders and usurpers. I am personally reluctant to involve myself in this, though my mind was clouded by the aftershock of a pure Fyreboran distillation which resulted in me being slightly more forthright than usual. I advised him to form a working group (that drunkenly included me in some capacity) as this would actually enable this dream of his to enter the realm of reality. The government of Frankonia is not interested in fundamentally altering the political landscape there, but I can probably mold the hermit noble's expectations into something that is more temporally feasible and less detrimental to regional stability and life expectancy in general.
What happens in the Princely Leagues is the guess of anyone. I intend to fight in the arenas under an assumed name; the insane normalcy of the adventuring life has long since trespassed into my own, and I will answer this provocation by preparing for the eventuality of death. I have already arranged the proper documentation and issued death-bound instructions to captain Dormaruk in order for directive Disciple/Uniform-1 to be completed. Not entertaining the possibility of an unforeseen mortal demise is, at this stage, irreparably irresponsible. And it would be a most rude inconvenience.
Perhaps, just perhaps, I may be able to enjoy a few days of careless distractions without becoming party to yet another assassination attempt?
Always vigilant,
The Goddess of the Rainbow
