Outcast and reclusive, Ver'sheli has spent the past centuries living alone, deep within the Grey Peaks of Azermathia, a pariah from the Soulmeliti, wrestling with her guilt. Still with a lean warrrior's body and keen wizard's mind, she has maintained loose contact with the Aran'fantarhyme. It is her belief that something - likely Elynthi for it is in their nature - is threatening the balance of Tarien from outside the veil that Shar'iishta raised in the fifth century.

Soulmeliti Recluse

Still tall for a Soulmeliti, Ver'sheli has lost some height in her age, though not due to any sort of failure in her posture. She still stands straight-backed and violet eyes alert, resting on the balls of her feet like an panther ready to pounce. Her musculature may have waned as the centuries have passed but she remains wiry and sure-footed, moving with an almost preternatural grace that defies the thin lines on her face. The thick locks of raven hair, once pulled back into a tight braid has faded, but not to the gray of old age but instead a regal silver topknot and bangs that frame her angular face like the portrait of heroine.

 

Once the brightest star in the People's Army, Dyianr'ri Shien'shoam's right-hand woman and fiercest fighter with both blade and spell, most believe that she perished at the Battle of the Fallen Moon. True, some have rumored that she managed to escape, an olive branch offered by Malakshan. Some says she even took the great blade Veracous with her. None, however, have seen nor heard from her in the two and half centuries sense. She took no part in Thantherian Styvalhyme's liberation of the Soulmeliti Forests and whispers of her existence faded, history shining favorably upon her as unwilling martyr where her partner and mentor has been seen as a monster.

 

In truth, Ver'sheli fled south to Azermathia long before colonists arrived in Hopki. Alone in her sorrow, she used her solitude to meditate and study. Aware that all of history has been an ebb and flow, like the waves of the great oceans, she guards the heart of the Soulmeliti people and seeks what she believes will be their final apocalypse. Convinced that this will not come at the hands of mortals, she is deeply ashamed her role in the war against the Elynthi, fearing a greater, unknown evil that she has sworn to stop.
