WorldEmber, prompts and #WorldAnvilTBT

Hello there,

I hope WorldEmber is going well for you. If you need inspiration on what to write about, my worldbuilding prompts on Twitter may be able to help you with that. Check out this link to my Twitter page to see all prompts I posted so far.

Today is also #WorldAnvilTBT on Twitter. I know everyone is busy with WorldEmber, but if you want to promote an older article, this is your chance. Check out this tweet if you want to know what my ThrowbackThursday is.

I wish you the best of luck with WorldEmber.
  Until next time, Rynn

JOIN WORLDANVIL THROWBACKTHURSDAY TODAY!

Hello everyone,

I wanted to remind you all that today is Thursday. This means it is time for another Throwback Thursday. To take part, you post one of your older articles on Twitter using the hashtag #WorldAnvilTBT. The article does not have to be from long ago. If you are new here on World Anvil, it can even be an article you wrote last week.

The idea behind #WorldAnvilTBT is to make it less scary to post our work on Twitter. Others post under that hashtag too, so you are not alone. The second reason I started this tag several months ago is to give some love to our older articles. Often we focus on our newer work, while the older articles sit there almost forgotten. If you have been wanting to post your work on Twitter, but something is holding you back, this is your chance! As an example, I'll link my tweet from today here.

Your task if you choose to accept it: make a tweet using the hashtag #WorldAnvilTBT linking to an article you wrote in the past. You can also @ WorldAnvil for a chance to get a retweet from them.

I'm looking forward to reading your articles! And don't forget, we do this every Thursday.

Until next time, Rynn

JOIN IN ON WORLDANVIL THROWBACKTHURSDAY TODAY!

Hey everyone,

I wanted to remind you all that today is thursday. This means it is time for another Throwback Thursday. To participate you post one of your older articles on Twitter using the hashtag #WorldAnvilTBT. Older does not mean it has to be from last year or anything. If you are new here on WorldAnvil it can even be an article you wrote last week.

I started this hashtag a couple of months ago, intending to make it less scary to post our work on Twitter. But also to give some love to our older articles. Using the hashtag means you are not alone. So if you have been thinking about posting your work on social media, but felt scared doing so, this is your moment! You can find my tweet from today in this link. Just to give you an idea what such a tweet might look like.

Your task if you choose to accept it: make a tweet using the hashtag #WorldAnvilTBT linking to an article you wrote in the past. You can also @ WorldAnvil for a chance to get a retweet from them.

I'm looking forward to reading your articles! And don't forget, we do this every week.

Until next time, Rynn

What I'm Reading! Issue 33

Hey, Everybody! Here we go with Issue 33!

Busy, busy week. But! We made it to the end! There really ought to be a badge for that.

There's been so much going on, and its made the time fly by. Which, is a good thing, I suppose. For me that means I've been busy and hopefully productive with what I consider "forward momentum" on my current projects.

How about that idea of World Anvil Throwback Thursday from Rynn19? That sounds pretty interesting. If you've missed what she said about it... here, I'll quote...

Apart from those articles I am trying something new on Twitter, and you can join me if you like! Starting last week I began a WorldAnvil ThrowbackThursday. The intention is to bring older articles to the attention of newer readers. And to give ourselves a reason to look back on those old articles and perhaps give them an overhaul if needed. If you would like to join, use the hashtag #WorldAnvilTBT to post one of your own older articles on Twitter. It doesn’t have to be years old. Just something you wrote a while ago and are proud of.

I might give that a go. I've a few I've written that I'm pretty proud of and don't mind showing off. I'm not all that active on Twitter, but I might toss something up for Throwback Thursday on Twitter, Tumblr, and so on. How about anyone else?

Also... How are you doing? Got forward momentum going on your own projects?

In between juggling the proverbial chainsaws, I've also tried to catch up on my reading. So, without further delay!

Here is the current crop that REALLY stood out for me! Enjoy!

The Road Goes Ever On

Once again, I grabbed my satchel and set out on the digital road to find some unexplored countries in the Anvilspace. As always, the Anvilspace didn't disappoint!

  The Chromaverse
  Dichotomy
  Four Quadrants

And hark! A Manuscript!

This one is a solid and interesting read. I really enjoyed the setting and imagination here. BUT! A word of caution. It's dark fantasy, so there's some blood, violence, etc. Step carefully.

May Update

Hello everyone,
May has been a bit of a struggle for me. I finished one article though about the Seven Ageless Towers of West Eghea. It is an overview of all the towers and another glimpse into the Forgotten. Speaking of the Forgotten, I have put that article aside for now. I was barely making any progress and decided it might be a good idea to come back to it another time.

Ageless Towers
Building / Landmark | Oct 5, 2021

Seven towers spread along the edge of the West Eghean continent. They are Ageless, over hundred-thousand years old, and were constructed by the Forgotten.

I also added new lore to the Ruins of Serralon. This new lore includes the Eight Tower of the Ageless Tower article, but it also makes the ruins more connected to the Forgotten. And gives me an opening for potential discoveries about these ruins in the future.

The Ruins of Serralon
Settlement | Jul 19, 2023

Ruins of an ancient city on the southeast coast of West Eghea. It is surrounded by Mystwood.

Let’s see if we can grow this thing and bring more exposure to our community! My #WorldAnvilTBT this week is a small article about a peculiar tradition in ghynzuan households. I still love it a lot.

Let me know what you have been up to this past month. Has your May been productive, or a struggle like mine?
