The Arsenal
Built into a coastal cave, dark stone forms a menacing wall against intrusion while sturdy docks and ships line the shore. Several smaller buildings can be found inside with various peoples moving between them, each with a purpose of their own. The gates bear a large emblem of waves crashing against a blade plunging downward, blocking the waves from whatever the blade is protecting. The Arsenal waits to unleash her armada against any potential foes.
Three large warships sit at the far edge of the dock, closest to the ocean exit of the cave. Built from a combination of wood and metal, these warships can easily fit three thousand capable fighters in their hulls. People can be seen aboard each one, maintaining their respective ship to be the most battle ready it can be. Bundled cloth is unfurled and checked meticulously for any tears or fraying at the edges before being bundled back to the mast and rigging.
Some three dozen buildings are scattered inside the cave, most residential for the current naval fleet with a few small shops. Three buildings stand out from the rest, larger and more clearly protected. They sit in a sort of triangle, roughly a mile equidistant from one another, though all bear the same emblem from the gate on their walls.
The smallest of the three stands a mere four stories high, with plenty of space around to allow for a few forges and carpentry stalls for the exceptional craftspeople. Bearing the large emblem of The Arsenal along its walls, a smaller emblem can be seen on each outside door once you get closer; a mast, standing tall and proud, a wide white sail billowing in the wind. This is where the Master of Sails calls home.
Some distance away stands the next impressive structure, sturdy and strong at five stories high. A large pond surrounds this one, several small versions of the various ships drifting about the waters. In the corner, various small ship designs from the surrounding lands can be seen, all neatly tucked away. The Arsenal's symbol can be seen from all angles, while the smaller one, a simple design of drifting waves, sits along the edges of the pond and outside doors. The Master of Tides practices their techniques here.
The tip of the triangle is where the largest building sits, a towering eight stories high. While not the tallest building in the city, it does boast some of the most trained fighters. Most of the building is dedicated to training rooms for the members of the naval fleet, though the top three floors are inaccessible to all but the highest ranking individuals. Floors six and seven hold briefing and tactical rooms, doubling into a collective war room when time demands it. The final floor is only accessible by the Master of Waves and the two ranks directly under them. Current Master of Waves - Vazaashana Kyasathi (Kalashtar Storm Sorcerer, female) Master of Tides - Tumult (Water genasi male, Rogue Swashbuckler)
Master of Sails - Air genasi female, Artificer Battlesmith
