Scenario 2: Freeport? That's Really a Place?
Claudia aka the Pirate Queen of Serenity's Reach has told the team about Freeport, explaining that one of its entrances is in this system as a special K6 Katrev Point guarded by a Key, a Spell Engine designed to attune the ship's Aether Cube to the Jump Point and allow it to traverse safely.
Lady of the Blue specifically denies entrance to her drives, requiring Paradigm and Hunt to duplicate the Key. Upon arriving at Freeport, which is an artificial - flat with an actual "edge of the sea" to fall off of, they must sail across the sea of Freeport to reach their destination.
Of course they are chased by a Sea Serpent, but apparently it was just playing with them and let them go.
