Altian

Altian culture was born out of the exiled Elves from Aberia mixing with the Olígan natives. The resulting hybrid culture gained a proper foothold in the lands that would become Astozia, Kalastrad, and parts of Cervoya. It quickly became the primary culture of Astozia, but was second or even third in other regions. In what would become Kalastrad, the native cultures held strong until the reign of the Imperious House Kalas made Altian the ruling culture. While Humans, Chimera, and Skyborn were prevalent on every continent from the beginning of the Age of Isolation, there were no Sylf in Olíga during the late Age of Lords, and thus no Elves. So, when they arrived on the shores in their ships, there was a shift. This new species caused a schism to form between those that welcomed them and those that didn't. Those that welcomed joined with the Elves and created the Altian culture over the coming generations.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

The Altians speak the Tesprek language of northern Olíga. Though it evolved slightly when the Abians arrived, bringing their native Arkan, it is still largely the same as it has been for millennia of being the language of the Alari people.

Beauty Ideals

Altian culture favors the beauty standards of the Fae and their descendants, though they didn't arrive until the Great Aberian Banishment. That said, fair features had always been the ideal, even if they were rarer in the past.
