Elf
Elves are the lithe, fair descendants of the Sylf, born from years of intermarriage between the Sylf and Human peoples. Like many others, they started their time on Ymrak, but their banishment across the sea shifted their history greatly. It's for this reason that the majority of Elves consider themselves to be Repenian. Recently, they established the Cervoyan nation, having supplanted the Bretonic Monarchy.
They are admired for their beauty, but little else. Their crafted goods are similar, fine and beautiful beyond measure, but not overly hardy. People may go to a Dwarf for a Smith, but they will always favor an Elf for a Clothier. Their garments are unparalleled.
They are the longest lived among the descendants of the *Progenitor* races by roughly triple the lifespan, in stark contrast to their predecessor races, as Sylf are known to be short-lived, and Humans are the standard by which others are measured. Skepsologists are currently at a loss to understand the reason for their elongated life, but it has earned them a colloquial reputation for being immortal. This myth of immortality is perpetuated by the common practice of dying in solitude, creating the impression that they walked into the wilderness and never returned - absorbed by the nature of their forebears.
Basic Information
Anatomy
They have the standard structure of the Sylf, but with Human skin and eye colors. They also lack horns, as with other Sylf descendants, but the trait is latent and will occasionally appear in certain bloodlines.
Genetics and Reproduction
Elves, like all the *Soulbearers*, reproduce sexually and have a nine-month gestation period.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Elves are incapable of eating red meat. When consuming meat, it must be poultry or fish. Further, they can't have dairy of any kind. After being weaned from their mother's milk, they lose the ability to digest it. However, they are not too fragile, as they have an incredible tolerance for poisons that affect the stomach. A neurotoxin will still put them down, but something like Daffodils or Hyacinths - flowers that create nausea and vomiting in others - have no effect. As a result, they often use these as garnishes on their food.

Facial characteristics
Elves have very sharp, narrow features. They tend to have high cheekbones and small chins with long, slender necks. Their ears have long (3-5in) points at the top, and even somewhat pointed earlobes.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
The highest concentration of Elves is in Cervoya, as it's been declared the "New Elven Homeland", but they can be found all over Olíga. There are very few in Ymrak, despite that being their original home.
Average Intelligence
Elves are of average intelligence. They have a reputation for being air headed - beauty and naught else - but that's overstating it a bit. Like Dwarves, they don't have the same mind for learning math or science, but they are brilliant at what they do. In the case of Elves, that's art. They are incredible painters, musicians, and, most famously, clothiers.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They have incredible hearing and sight. They are limited in their application as they have no night vision, per se, but the distances they can see are second to few. Further, their sense of taste is without equal, giving rise to the Repenian Sommelier.
Civilization and Culture
History
As descendants of the Sylf and Humans, the Elven people were a vital part of the Abian presence on Ymrak. However, they did suffer some stigma due to their role as a hybrid race. Those that sought to have a racially pure Aberia despised the Elves, as they were seen as unnatural. This came to a head when they were targets of Donnchad ap Briain and the Great Aberian Banishment. Unlike the others, however, the Elves believed they were sent to their deaths. Put on great ships and sent out into the sea, they feared they'd be swallowed by the waves. After all, this was before the creation of Ocean Farers and the consequent Age of Exploration. However, lucky for them, they landed on Olíga.
Now, Elves have a country they can claim as a haven for their kind: Cervoya. After rising up against the very Human Bretonic Monarchy and taking control of the nation, they made the country a place where Elves were the ones on top. After centuries of having little to no voice, they finally had something that was theirs.

Elves are extremely slender. Their bodies are light and agile, putting what muscle they have to maximum use. It's difficult for them to build body mass, but that serves them well with regard to maintaining high standards of beauty.
