Abian
The Abian culture encompasses those that are biologically and culturally descended from the people of Aberia. This includes the two primary cultural descendants of the Dumylan and the Túlok, but also those that hold to many of the traditions of the Fae - something seen in many pockets in Kalastrad and Astozia. It was most prevalent in Bretonia, prior to the rise of the Cervoyan Diarchy and subsequent supplantation of other cultures by the Repenians. It still survives, but the aggressive spread of the Repenians leaves little room for others within the Cervoyan border.
Put simply, to be Abian is to tie one's heritage to Aberia, and to speak Arkan. While the Dumyla are defined by their faith first and foremost, it is also the merging of the original Abian culture with the Maktahai that crafted their specific set of traditions and beliefs. Both brought something to the table in that regard, and both brought something new to the forefront. Similarly, the nomadic nature of the Túlok was not something that originated in the Aberin tradition. That was something that came later, and yet it defines so much of their culture. This idea of transience and the land belonging to no one that is so integral to who they are is uniquely Túlok. But what binds both together, and makes them "Abian" is their shared history - both were born of the Great Banishing; they share a language, many holidays, and are close-knit nations. They have a common folklore, and many of the same ideals with regard to beauty, heroism, and fate. So, for all their differences, the Dumyla and Túlok are sister-cultures, born of the Abian mother.
