Vow Tangible Physical / Metaphysical Law in World of Stendaaris | World Anvil

Vow Tangible

The Vow Tangible was a magical disaster and caused masive changes though out the world of stendaaris. This occured in the year 160 when there was a great need to cast a ritual spell named the Quamaniith. The Quamaniith is known as the vow tangible as it creates solid tangible objects that represent a mutual agreement. If either party knowingly or willing breaks the pledge, the object shatters. The larger the vowstone the more magic that was needed to be pulled from the world to secure the magical vow. This spell was known to create small vowstones or oathstones in a spirital bonding rituals within the culture of the Arpynians. It was done to show the vow and conmitment between lovers.   However, when the spell was alterted to seal away a god it went a bit more caotic than it should have. It is known that it caused a natural distructive force that changed the World of Stendaaris. There was many geographic locations that changed drastically because of this spell. The spell creates a vowstone pending on what you want to call it. The vowstone this ritual created ended up being the Impassable Mountains. Depending on who you ask the distruction was greater pending on the side of the sphere of magical impact occured. That is because at the center of the spell location was the city Arpyneaketh and it ended up being destroyed and created one of the Twin Colossal Plants: Life Tree and Death Cactus in its place. Here it created the Death Cactus in its place and on the other side of the Impassable Mountains it created the Life Tree. The Death Cactus ended up drying up all the vegitation within the Raesandel Forest and turning it into the Del'Rae Desert. The Life Tree was planted at the edge of The Harvesters Paradise and the nutrients provided created the wonderful Guardian Forest and Cherry Bloom Bosk.   The vow that was to never be broken was to allow any creature pass on the other side of the perimiter of the vows area of effect. This also ment that the waters surrounding the Continent of Renstrom also became unstable and prevented ship travel and caused lots of missing ships and contained dangerous creatures. Those waterland marks impacked by the Vow Tangible are the following: Death Wave Sea, Unstable Ocean, Misty Tides, and the Charmed Deep. With the impact of these natural landmarks getting created and more dangerous than before it was a great deteriment to prevent anyone from breaking the vow of travel that was part of this enhanced spell. However, the area of the world out side of the sphere of impact considered the this as the event the creation of Lost Continent of Renstrom. However those in the sphere of influence believed they are the last Continent known was Renstrom.   There was additional vow requirement to this spell. That was the removeal of relics from their resting spots. These relics where once in the posession of the the generals of the orc god Gruumsh. The locations of these relics would only be visible to adventurers if someone or some creature from Continent of Renstrom was to cross the boundries of the vow tangible. If these relics would be removed from their resting places events would transpire with the destruction of the Twin Colossal Plants: Life Tree and Death Cactus.   Those involved in the casting of the spell had a more disaterous outcome. The citizens that couldn't evacuate Arpyneaketh got shunted into the elemental plane of chaos. Here some members of the original casting party of this spell got shunted into different parts of the timeline. Some didn't survive, however some where able to establish famous bloodlines of wizards in the future and became part of the Tonga Family.
