Lady Catherine Montague is one of the Heralds of the Sun that was awoken when the remnants of London's Mithraium were uncovered during re-construction. She presents herself with poise and grace, never taking any action that would be deemed unbecoming of a Lady.
Session 1
Lady Catherine Montague awoke in the docklands warehouse by the very nervous Brujah, Adelino Da Silva. She found herself with two fellow companions,
Dr. Henry Banerjee and
Tony Castelli. Despite knowing her nature as Kindred and name, she knew little about herself or why she was in the warehouse. Adelino informed her and her two companions they were the Heralds of
Mithras, a supposed powerful vampire who was a God. The trio had been put into slumber and recently uncovered when humans were renovating a building in central London.
After feeding, Lady Catherine followed the rest of her fellow coterie members upstairs where they met the chronicler of Mithras,
Darius Shirazi. Shirazi informed the trio that the year was 2012 and the the
Mithratic Mysteries were in need of the Herald's assistance. Shirazi gives Lady Catherine a card with the number of
Lady Scarlett Churchill, assistant of
Queen Anne. He suggests the coterie schedule an audience with the Queen and present themselves, perhaps gaining an invitation to the next Elysium in the Shard. The Heralds of the Sun are tasked by
Pater Thomas via letter to collect artifacts of great import to Mithras and the cult; a seal wax, a ruby ring, an Egyptian style ceremonial dagger, a phyrgian cap and a ceramic goblet that had been used to waken the trio.
Their meeting with Shirazi was disrupted by the loud reports of automatic gunfire from outside. Shirazi dispatched Adelino and his Gangrel companion, Mickey Wheeler to investigate. Shirazi became manic and furiously tried to empty the contents of his desk into his briefcase. Lady Catherine quickly moved to a CCTV office nearby to see footage of Police Officers and people in riot gear storming the warehouse. Quickly, the trio went to the rooftop and discovered a second team of people in riot gear breaking into the rear of the warehouse. Deciding to find another way out, Lady Catherine used her discipline Awe to snap Shirazi out of his mania and got him to reveal the presence of a secret tunnel underground.
As the group tried to leave, they spotted two officers patrolling the first floor below. Unable to hide. the officers spot the trio and request they surrender. Upon going downstairs, Lady Catherine used her Awe discipline once more to convince a police officer to defend the group. The officer turned around and began shooting his fellow officers. All hell broke loose as the coterie tried to duck for cover.
Eventually the trio made it to the basement and escaped via the secret underground tunnel. Upon exit, they discovered that their attackers were
Operation Antigen, a secret police unit tasked with killing Kindred. Shirazi thought them to be only a rumour and questioned how his base of operation had been compromised. Regardless, the Heralds set off for the Tower Hamlets, a borough within East London. On the way via taxi, Lady Catherine sparked up conversation with Tony, noticing his feminine physique. Tony took offence to this and told her to never bring it up again. Upon finding lodging in the
Crossarms Motel, Lady Catherine and Tony began work on sun-proofing the room. Afterwards, Lady Catherine called Lady Scarlett Churchill and set a meeting with her in the Shard next week. Morning would soon arrive, bringing Lady Catherine back to her slumber.
