D.L.
"D.L." is the codename of an ALUMN member, a shadowy organization operating in Realm 79: The Junction. On the ALUMN council, he is considered master of the domain of magic for the world of Midland.
D.L. is a demilich, an undead creature who has "evolved" into a new form after an untold amount of time as a lich. Appearing only as a floating skull, a demilich features soul gems in each of its eye sockets.
D.L. is boisterous and talkative. He seems to have an advanced knowledge of magic. His energtic outbursts and enthusiastic tangents make him a lively conversation partner.

D.L. claims to be 999 years old. It is unclear if he is a reliable narrator.
He correctly surmised after the events of Realm 82: Zikrieg Academy that Archmage Zikrieg had opened rifts into two new realms of reality, one being the new location of Zikrieg Academy, and the other being the Staircase.
As a coucil member, he helped direct multiple failed expeditions into Realm 9: The Staircase.
D.L. makes his lair on the Isle of Bliss and Genocide.

D.L. arbitrated the conclusion of the bargain of Bliss and Genocide in the year 999. Arthur Ains was selected as the "representative of man," and charged with opening the Scroll of Genocide, which would wipe out all gnolls in the realm, or himself die. Arthur refused to open the scroll.
