Archmage Zikrieg
(a.k.a. Amadeus Bartholomew Bellamy Cratous Zikrieg)
Archmage Zikrieg is the headmaster and heir of the prestigious Zikrieg Academy. The school is named after his family, which founded the institution of higher magical learning hundred of years ago.
Zikrieg is one of the most powerful mortal mages known to his home world of Mundorum (also known as Realm 79: The Junction). With funding from powerful interests and the nearby government of Rotterdam, Zikrieg was secretly working to blend high magic with cutting edge advancements in technology.
He was either knowingly or unknowingly taking funds from a shadowy cabal of secret rulers known as the ALUMN. His mysterious projects were of great interest to the ALUMN, and much to their dismay he executed an experiment with the intent of hiding his academy in a pocket dimension.
Because of the unusual nature of Realm 79, his experiment instead launched the academy into a satellite realm, categorized as Realm 82. Previously other realms were unknown to the world of Mundorum.
A Pioneer of Mechanical Automatons
Zikrieg pioneered the hybridization of mechanical automatons with magical energy. He created an almost full automated academy, run by robotic vessels. He created a seemingly partially sentient metal construct known as Faculty Advisor Bot. More impressively, Zikrieg created a massively powerful and capable artificial intelligence, known as P.A.M.N. After the destruction of his academy at the hands of P.A.M.N., Archmage Zikrieg intimated that he had knowledge of other realms. It is postulated that after his experiment launched the school into Realm 82 that he began explore the hitherto unknown science behind the barrier and conduits between other realms. His only equal in regard to making this conceptual leap is the ALUMN member known only as "D.L."Clone Magic Advancements
There is recovered evidence that Archmage Zikrieg made either accidental or intentional modifications to the clone spell. It is believed he managed to magically create at least one sentient clone known as Barticus. The duplicate appears to have a unique personality, and be less capable than the original.Artifacts
The Book of Zed is a powerful tome, left behind by Zikrieg, outlying his discoveries into the existence of other realms. Once located in the basement of Zikrieg Academy, it has been identified by the ALUMN as lost in the bottom of Realm 9: The Staircase.
