The City of Respite
There is only a handful of settlements in the Classless Badlands. Most are not really worth mentioning and only survive day to day due to grit and determination. However, one is different from the rest and has found a way to overcome the terrible soil of the area.Demographics
For the most part, the city consists primarily of entertainers in its actual population. However, it has a population of about 10,000 at any given time. This is due to the travelers coming and going from the city.
History
Founded by Beautiful Ben due to him being thrown out of the nearby municipality as a result of his rowdiness, provocative approach to the locals, and love of nudity. He told them that he would make his own town with blackjack and painted women. With his charisma, he gathered several entertainers and built a tavern of his very own from the ruins of an old forgotten era train depo. It soon grew into a town hall, gathering more and more attention. The town that had only been three miles away, its name is now forgotten, chose the location to live off the fish from the northern coast. Junction city soon stopped trading with the small town for fish, gathering it for themselves. The industrious fold of the smaller town eventually became a part of the pleasure town.
The town could only gather so many fish, and soon other methods of growing food came to the minds of the denizens. Eventually a trade agreement was made with Fields Union and the plains tenders to find a solution. Resulting in the discovery of the sought after Ammonium Nitrate.
