An explosive chemical compound. It was discovered as a necessity by Plains Tender chemists for the people of Junction City under contract to find a way to fertilize the sterile ground of the Classless Badlands for farming.

A whitish-gray crystalline substance often bought in its powdered form for use in either fertilizer or explosives.

Origin & Source

It is synthesized from ammonia and nitrogen. Though it is more often bought from We of the Sand traders passing through Junction City who mine the substance from their homeland.

History & Usage

History

While originally not considered valuable, the first instances of the material were found with Sand Walker miners who discovered the mild explosive under the surface of their homeland. Considering it just a waste, they dumped the material in pits while they searched for other ores.
It was only till nearly two hundred years later the material was synthesized for the people of Junction City by Fields Union as apart of their trade agreements. It was only then that the value of those ammonium nitrate pits was realized. Many arguments and trade deals occurred shortly after, Junction City remaining neutral in the argument. The right call as it prevented another war between the two powers.
