The Wendigo Primogen

The Allthing, Duskscape Regent of Hunger, Apex of the Chimerae, Legion of the Aggrieved

The Wendigo Primogen is more a title than an individual, carried by an unknown number of historical Duskscape monsters for reasons that are not fully understood (although the general impression is that it's a matter of fear and physical supremacy, like most pack alphas). Though there is likely missing nuance, the title carries power reflective of a Duskscape Regent of savagery, hunger, transformation, swarms and otherness.

The Allthing is the apparent chieftain (officially or unofficially) of all chimerae, yaoguai, wendigos, and other demiphysical Duskscape fauna. It is a bizarre, roving thing (even for a Cenobite), possibly not even a single individual, with seemingly no allegiances or diplomatic relations with other entities.

The Primogen is one of few gods—Material or Umbral—that desires the complete elimination of the Veil, in other words the utter melding of both worlds, whereupon the God of Monsters and its innumerable lessers will have a new world to hunt and feed upon with complete impunity. This is a rare sentiment among the Duskscape Regents; most are either indifferent to or disdainful of the mortal realms, while others have a nuanced appreciation of the balance the Veil brings.

The Wendigo Primogen's alignment is Chaotic Evil.

Worship

The Primogen is popular subject of worship for evil druids and those who wish to lose their individuality to a comforting fugue of cathartic savagery. Its worshippers often take names based on individual covens, but they are commonly called Talons or Deathless. Huntmasters of Kaleva who fall to evil often do so because of the whispered temptations of the Apex, as do witches, shamans and other spiritual mediums in regions where The Veil between the Duskscape and Waking Materia is weak.

Most cultists seek to further weaken and eventually even destroy the Veil if at all possible, thus ushering in their monstrous godlord and its myriad minions to claim their new prize.

Cults of the Apex are most concentrated in the Emerald Expanse of Marai, but are otherwise ubiquitous across the plane.

Domains

The Wendigo Primogen's primary Domain is Swarm. Its subdomains are Nature, Change, Fury, Healing and Tyranny.

Favoured Weapon

The Apex's favoured weapon is the spiked chain. Its Relic Weapon is the Godspine.

Possible Origin

One of the most feared individuals on the face of the plane in the First Age was a Colonial God, Lichlord, barbarian, tracker and monster-hunter, Šaruum Io'a. Though Lichlord Io'a disappeared in the Middle First Age, some scholars believe he did not die: the first reports of Wendigo Primogen begin to appear shortly thereafter, and their most apparent domains bear a striking resemblance.
