The Wane

The Fourth, "Interesoteric" Layer of Reality

According to Layer Theory of Dimensional Cosmology, the Wane is the common name for the fourth and deepest-known layer of reality known as the Interesoteric Layer. It falls below the Spective, Mundane & Arcane layers, and above the (still theoretical) Intermultiversial layer. Only about 0.02% of known planes in the Known Universe intersect The Wane, designated by the Daybreak Empire as Class IV worlds. It is the layer where three-dimensional notions of space and distance become obsolete and quaint. Though it seems paradoxical, beings who sufficiently understand the Wane are able to travel between locations where it intersects a plane without spending any time or moving any distance.
