Edruva

Edruva is a massive city-state in Vildrel's southern continent populated almost entirely with Giants. Most giants living in Edruva are content to stay in their state of philosopher-kings. They're an isolationist society with little impact on and from the rest of Vildrel's geopolitics.

People and Culture

Edruva is the home of the giants and their people. They are Eclectic Materialists with a cultural veneration for the arts. Although their appreciation for art and story telling is superficially similar to Atovist societies, theirs comes from a place of humanism and phylosophy rather than religious doctrine.

Droven

As the place of the Droven's creation, Droven are far more common in and around Edruva than in the rest of Vildrel. The Droven are also the only non-giant race that are given citizenship in Edruva.

History

Edruva was founded in 945 SE, shortly after the giants in the Lowland Collar were expelled from their home by King Edwyn the Holy. The displaced giants split into three populations, the Hodi, the Edri, and the Godi. The Edri are the ethnic population that travelled south and settled in the geologically issolated territory of Edruva, which means "city of the Edri." The Hodi would later travel west to begin the empire of Sura Pel.
